"Lugar X" (Place X) is a creation for public space that aims to reflect on the mechanisms of value extraction from bodies, ecosystems, life, relationships. Extractivism marks with an X the place of the treasure. At this point, there is no place, body, or form of life left unmarked. "Lugar X" is about the gestures to remain alive, despite and in the midst of devastation. What are the actions and relationships that recreate, summon, and remind us of life? How does one create a body from ruins?

This project aims to create fictional maps of places we do not want or cannot return to, because there is no longer any treasure to extract, nor pleasure to discover. And, at the same time, it investigates camouflage actions to create narratives with false clues that erase traces of what we still want and can preserve.
