There are stories that never end. There are characters that never disappear. During a theatre workshop class, a group of children finds a mysterious letter that challenges them to rescue forgotten characters. Between memories, hidden clues, and echoes of the past, they embark on an adventure where reality and fiction intertwine. But not all characters want to be found, and some may have forgotten who they really are.
The Teatro Oficina Workshops (OTO) have had various formats because that’s exactly what a workshop should be: a laboratory not only for what happens within it but also for itself. The current model was implemented by the outgoing artistic director of Teatro Oficina, Mickael de Oliveira, and it was divided into three groups of different age categories, each led by one of three instructors: Gonçalo Fonseca, Inês Lago, and Mariana Dorigatti. The proposal was that, at the end of their training, students would work on theatrical exercises that would be performed in May, each directed by their respective teachers. The model for next year’s OTOs will be introduced in September, after evaluating the previous format in collaboration with students, instructors, and other interested parties. For now, we will have the privilege of witnessing the work of three generous groups, full of various talents, and above all, driven by an immense desire.
