SATURDAY APRIL 11, 3:00PM
Tiago Sampaio and Cody XV (POR)
Event
The collaboration between Cody XV and Tiago Sampaio proposes a reflective sonic experience that celebrates the cycle of the seasons as a metaphor for the rhythms of existence.
Through an experimental approach, the music builds sensory landscapes where time, space, and transformation intertwine, inviting the audience to move through a continuous flow of change and renewal. The performance emerges from the meeting of different musical practices and languages, exploring improvisation, sonic texture, and the creation of immersive environments that evoke natural cycles and their resonance in human experience.
Together, the two artists bring distinct yet complementary trajectories into an artistic proposal that foregrounds sonic experimentation and improvisation.
Pedro Sousa (b. 1984, Arcos de Valdevez), a multidisciplinary artist based in Braga, develops his work under the alter ego Cody XV, exploring the relationship between human and machine through sound composition using analog and modular synthesizers, audio software, and techniques such as field recording and sound collage.
Tiago Castro Sampaio is a musician, composer, performer, and producer, whose career has been marked by the creation of musical projects such as Grandfather’s House, St. James Park, and X It, as well as by composing for film, theatre, dance, and fashion.
