KINK

Dance
Nik Rajšek

KINK is a solo about control: craving it, resisting it, losing it. It explores control on stage as both a driving force and a point of collapse.
The body twists, retreats and asserts itself in a constant tension between dominance and surrender. Movement and music take turns leading, shaping each other in a shifting dialogue. Being watched becomes both a threat and thrill, a response to the discomfort of exposure and the secret pleasure of wanting more.
In KINK, Nik Rajšek invites the audience into a teasing power dynamic where control is questioned, shared and continually redefined.

Nik Rajšek (1993) is a Slovenian performer and maker based in the Netherlands. After graduating from the Modern Theatre Dance program at AHK, Amsterdam in 2015, he has collaborated with various choreographers, most notably Ann Van den Broek. In recent years, Nik has begun developing his own artistic voice, creating a series of solo works that explore his personal approach to performance, movement and film. In 2025, he became one of the artists of Station Noord, a network and development programme for emerging makers in the northern Netherlands.

Rather than focusing solely on dance or choreography, he explores what it means to perform and how we form a relationship with those who watch. He searches for moments in which both he and the audience move beyond the surface of movement and enter the pure, raw emotion that lies beneath. In those moments, the boundary between performer and spectator dissolves, breaking the fourth wall and opening a space of shared emotion, vulnerability, and mutual understanding or conflict.
