The Teatro Oficina's new production premieres on 27 July. Written by four hands and six eyes, it features dramaturgy by Bruno dos Reis and Gaya de Medeiros, with an outside eye by José Nunes, and is a co-production with Teatro Municipal de Matosinhos Constantino Nery.

It is part of the trilogy we began with Everything in Avignon and Me Here, although it should not be understood as a sequential narrative. While the first production questioned the power still held by the theatre as an institution—increasingly constrained by rules, conventions, and established ways of seeing and making theatre—the second moves decisively beyond its walls. The performance consists of two car journeys: one beginning in Guimarães and the other in Matosinhos.

Audiences are invited to embark on a real journey, accompanied by two very different fictional narratives—one rooted in what we have come to describe as an aesthetics of the real, and the other operating entirely beyond that territory.
