As part of MICA, Catarina Braga presents a collection of ceramic and pottery works in this exhibition, resulting from her creative process. These pieces merge local techniques of working with red clay with references to various imaginings of the natural world. Based on a fictional legend in which, surprisingly, seeds transform into images and fire brings plants to life, the pieces carry symbols, traditional forms, and images with speculative meanings.
