Since 2017, the space for the presentation of the Amateurs Theater Groups from Guimarães has experimented with the Teatro Oficina program - thus the MAT Theater Amateurs Exhibition was (re)born. A new, revised and expanded format, with the choice of six projects resulting in six final performances, presented in a true theater party between the two CCVF auditoriums.

MAT'20 Amateur Theatre Showcase
03> 13 Jun CCVF and CIAJG
In 2020, we renewed the invitation to submit proposals for the amateur theatre showcase, maintaining the relationship with amateur theatre groups, and training, monitoring and reflection during the works.
As in 2019, we will be accompanying 6 groups, so it is necessary to send the project with the requirements identified below.
Choice of the projects to be accompaned will be made by João Pedro Vaz (Teatro Oficina) and by the associated educator, Gonçalo Fonseca.
After receiving and analysing the projects, the groups will conduct a personal interview with the jury lasting up to 30 min. each, to clarify any doubts.
From this process, six projects will be chosen and a grant of €1100 € will be given, which is the same amount for everyone.
Based on this choice, there will be an experimental training and monitoring programme, guided by Gonçalo Fonseca:
Initial training for group actors
➞ Permanent theatre-staging advice
➞Artistic monitoring of works
➞ A technical follow-up session (light and sound) with A Oficina’s technical team
The group will not be directed by our educator. He serves as a permanent artistic consultant and can help find solutions, but without disturbing the group’s dynamics.
